When looking at my hit counts, it occurs to me that the majority of people who drop by don't leave comments. That's cool- maybe you have nothing to add to the subject or you aren't all that interested in starting a dialogue about it.
But what if you just want to say "Hi, I was here!"? Enter this new General Comments page. Feel free to add a comment that's totally unrelated to anything I've posted here. Got a joke? Cool. Wanna show me an interesting math problem? That works, too.
The only exception? Don't bother posting ads for whatever dating site/herbal supplement/fringe movement/etc.etc.etc. that you may be hawking. Please keep your spam in your own kitchen cabinet.
And, btw, if you're thrown by the dropdown box on the comment area that asks you to choose a profile (e.g. LiveJournal, OpenID) just choose "Name/URL."
