Peace Pasta


A kid-inspired portrait - always fun!

If you can't make it out, that's a box of Annie's "Peace Pasta & Parmesan". It's a kind of organic mac n' cheese where the pasta is shaped like little peace symbols. The box is tie-dyed and has a hippie-looking bunny on the front - which inspired the pose.

It's always interesting trying to click the wireless remote while keeping my hand out of the shot. It leads to some funny outtakes, like this one: outtake

Card Games

I love card games - all kinds - and they're often my choice for family game nights. (Scrabble and Trivia games are a close second.) My kids especially like poker and it can get a bit competitive, even just betting for chips with no money behind them.

My youngest is working on his 'poker face'. When he first learned, every deal ended with a dramatic groan and slump or a bouncy toothy grin. He couldn't understand why we'd all fold whenever he'd leap half out of his seat and shout, "Yes!" ;-)
